More than discovering The Hatch, The Others, The Smoke Monster or The Other 48 Days, learning John Locke was once paralyzed remains one of “Lost’s” greatest surprises to date. So it’s no shock that when asked about his favorite moments, Terry O’Quinn selected this scene from season one, episode three.
“The scene in ‘Walkabout,’ where you first see that Locke was in a wheelchair, and then you see him stand up on the beach. Because of the effects and the way it was shot and the wind blowing and the music, that was a very moving scene,” Terry told Fancast.com.
So with tonight’s Locke-centric “Lost” outing, I thought it quite timely to relive that iconic moment. Although considering he’s now dead in one of the show’s timelines, the episode (titled “The Substitute”) is technically only 50 percent about John.
